Web design & local marketing · Built by one person

You know the site isn't pulling its weight.

I build websites for local service businesses — landscapers, trades, cafés, salons, clinics — and then run the marketing that fills them. One person from first call to launch, and a monthly check that catches problems before your customers do.

What I do

Seven things, and the first six compound. A good site with nothing pointing at it is a brochure in a drawer — most jobs here start with the build and grow into the rest. The last one is for a different kind of business entirely: if you sell products online, start there.

SV-01 Website design & build

Hand-coded, not assembled from a theme. It loads instantly on a phone in a van or a waiting room, it works on every screen, and there's no builder subscription or plugin stack waiting to break. Written around one job: turning the people who land on it into enquiries.

Scope
One page to eight

Every file, day one
SV-02 Brand & print design

A logo that reads at 40mm on a van door and 40px in a browser tab, plus the things you actually hand people: business cards, signage, vehicle livery, leaflets, price lists, menus. Same look on the website and the sign outside, which is most of what "brand" means at this size.

Files
Vector, print-ready

SV-03 Local SEO

Getting found by people twenty minutes away who are ready to book. Google Business Profile claimed and filled in properly, a page per service, the towns you actually cover written into the site, schema markup, and a review flow that keeps the profile moving. For a lot of local businesses the profile out-earns the website.

SV-04 Facebook Ads

Run tight and local. A small radius, a real offer, creative built from your own job photos rather than stock, and a landing page that matches the ad. I'll tell you when ads are the wrong tool — if the site leaks enquiries, spending on traffic just leaks faster.

SV-05 Email marketing

The cheapest work you'll ever win is from someone who already bought once. Enquiry follow-ups that go out the same hour, seasonal reminders that land when the job comes round again, and a list you own instead of renting from a platform.

SV-07 Ecommerce growth

For businesses selling products online rather than booking jobs. The storefront is rarely the problem — the problem is the order the decisions got made in. I work to a written system, eleven parts of it: who's buying and why, then the offer, then the store, then the copy, and only then the ads and the email flows. Built over years, run end to end by one person, in the order that compounds instead of the order that's urgent. Most start with the audit — it tells you which of those is actually your problem, and it comes off the first month if you carry on.

Website · Brand & print · Local SEO · Facebook Ads

Seven services, twenty-four towns to cover, and nowhere to send anyone but a Facebook page. We built the site, put the brand on everything from the van to the quote template, got the Google profile working, and ran local ads into a page built to take the enquiry.

AI site monitoring

Most websites are checked properly once — the week they launch. Then a certificate lapses, an image bloats, a form quietly stops delivering, and nobody finds out until a customer mentions it.

Ref MN-01

This runs an automated audit against your site on a schedule — speed, mobile rendering, broken links, SSL, forms, search visibility, tracking — and turns what it finds into a short list of things worth fixing, in order of what they're costing you.

No dashboard to learn and no jargon report to decode. You get the readout and a plain sentence about what I'd do about it. On the monthly plan, the small fixes are just done.

Always-on. Not a once-a-year check.

How it goes

Ref PC-01

  1. 01

    A proper conversation

Twenty minutes on the phone about the work you want more of, not a discovery workshop. You'll know by the end whether I'm the right call.

  2. 02

    A fixed price, in writing

Scope, price and dates on one page before anything starts. No hourly creep and no "that'll be extra" halfway through.

  3. 03

    Built and shown to you

You see it on a private link before it's public. Changes at this stage are part of the price — that's what the stage is for.

  4. 04

    Live, then watched

Launched on your own domain and hosting. From then on the monthly audit runs, and you hear from me when something needs doing.
